Building the vision

Surrounded by the mills, dams, and bridges of the now de-industrialized landscape in college, Will was impassioned to get to work rebuilding communities, from the ground up, on historic foundations. Clerestory windows, heavy timber trusses, solid brick, he believed there was tremendous opportunity to breathe light and life into these historic towns, and reweave vibrancy and promise back into these cities with buildings and neighborhoods suffering from neglect.

Through Bridgewright we extend to future generations a promise to leave this world in a little better shape than we found it.

The bridge-building concept is as relevant today as it was over 400 years ago. It spans the work of builders across time, intimately connecting the developers of today with historic structures gaining new life. The timber truss bridge was also one of the first instances of mass timber prefabrication, technology that helped democratize access to high quality, long lasting structures needed to help communities grow and thrive.

There has never been a more critical time to forge connectivity: between our past and our future, from east to west, across literal, political, culture divides. Bridgewright’s work in the built environment is an evolution of a long history of determined, visionary builders. We are grateful and humbled by the opportunity, and called to do our part.

Bridgewright has shown a high level of competence on all of the processes, plans, and details of our office building development project, and we are excited to work with Will and team again on future projects.

Working with Bridgewright on our apartment project was a huge value to us as Will was able to manage whatever development and construction issues arose with quickness and clarity. Will’s ability to focus the design team and the vendors on best outcome for the project is a testament to his deep understanding of the process.

Our business was in a major transition, and we found peace of mind working with Bridgewright to clearly weigh the options and efficiently navigate the real estate and construction process of acquiring and moving into our new office and warehouse space.

Honestly, it’s been such an absolute pleasure working with both of you… You guys have been so down to earth, pragmatic and knowledgeable, thank you so much for supporting me and our studio and especially for translating all the construction terminology to make sure we all were speaking the same language and aligned towards project goals.
